Meeting opened with moment of silence followed by the serenity prayer.

Alan read the 12 Concepts of Service.

Minutes approved.

Welcome and Introduction – David, GWV Rep. Eric, PASC Activities, Doug, Dan, Will, Alan, Gilbert, Jim, David P., Mary

GWV – David – Area doing well. Buying & distribution PR handbooks to all GSRs in Area. Also will distribute the approval draft of the Basic Text. PR handbook workshop to take place in March.

Doug – Area doing well. Submitted budget to Area for Metro. Workshops based on inventory to be held in Area, will schedule workshops to cover group issues. Starting nomination process for area positions.

General discussion on the different Area’s current service committees and history on the Metro to bring new people up to speed. What Metro should do, what area’s should do. What do the area’s need?

PASC – Motion put forward to withdraw Portland from the Metro until the other 2 areas form their own subcommittees. Received set aside money for donation to Area. Motion made to make area rep an elected position, however it was ruled out of order. Distributed Metro schedules. Portland voted to add outlying areas back to their schedules, Portland should be able to do this on their own. General discussion on Portland’s historic participation.

Jim – PI may be unable to complete request to complete new schedule to include outside area’s. Creating disunity between the area’s. Discussion on requesting the area to accept the Rose City Metro schedule. Much discussion on how they could get Portland to accept the Rose City Metro Committee.

Cost for publishing schedules. $.12/page standard cost. David will introduce motion at next area.

Treasurer’s report. PO box 22793, Milwaukie, OR 97269. Distributed voided checks to area reps to send back to Area treasurers to show that the account is in place. Misc expenses to be paid out including $40 to Dave for printing schedules for Portland. Balance is $519.73.

Copy machines are being worn down. Need to look at other options for printing. Has found best price of $.12 per schedule.

PASC Activities – Has 12 month activities schedules for Portland to distribute to other areas. Would like input from other area’s to keep it up to date with activities for all areas.

Port Stevens campout is set, sites for sale, will have available at spiritual brunch on Dec. 2. Ad hoc committee of 4 individuals. Unity in the streets planning committee. New years eve catered dinner with limited seats. Tickets on sale. More than willing to add information from other area’s to activities at a glance. Question on Metro Activities at a Glance being produced by the Metro committee. It was suggested that the area representative suggest that their area’s voice support for a Metro produced Activities at a Glance.
